Dr. Powell grew up in nearby Taylorsvile, Utah and graduated from the highly competitive State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1999. After practicing for a few years in Orem where he discovered his knack for working with children, he was accepted into a pediatric dental residency at MetroHealth hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, one of the largest and most respected hospitals in the country. There, he gained extensive practical experience working with a variety of childrens’ dental issues, including with various types of sedation techniques. He has been working in Utah as a pediatric dentist for the past 7 years, but has 14 years of experience, most of which has been working on children. Those who know Dr. Powell enjoy his sense of humor and patient personality. He enjoys riding his BMX bike and spending time with his wife and three young children.
